Browsing the site
- You don't need an account to use Foodie Central.
- To show places near you, our host (Cloudflare) gives us your approximate city from your internet connection. We keep it in a cookie for your visit and don't store it on our side.
- If you tap "use my location", your browser shares your position with the page only, to measure distances. It isn't sent to us.
- We remember the city you pick in a cookie so the site opens there next time.
Signing in with Google
- When you sign in, Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them for your account and profile, and to show who made an edit or endorsement.
- We don't get your Google password and we don't access anything else in your Google account.
- We keep a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in, for up to 30 days.
- What you do while signed in (edits, endorsements, votes and suggestions) is saved with your account.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your information, and we don't run third-party ad trackers.
Deleting your account
Ask us and we'll delete your account and everything saved with it. A contact address for this is coming soon.
